RAVE
The RAVE East Village Artist Residency program, created by Isabella Pers and Tiziana Pers with the collaboration of Giovanni Marta, is a residency for prominent artists held in the Friulano countryside. During the residency a leading international artist will be able to spend a month here, undertaking their own research in harmony with the rural nature of this land which was so dear to the poet Pasolini. They will be able to enjoy the slow and reflective pace of life, far removed from the frenetic pace of the modern world. Here, the artist will be able to interact with the environment in a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere.
Animals live in the place where the residency will be held. These have been saved from the food industry through artistic actions, removed from consumerist mechanisms to be welcomed and cared for in a more natural context.
The perspective which underlies the residency is also permeated by the personal and professional relationship that ties the artists Isabella and Tiziana Pers to the place where it is held. As such the artists will be able to interact with the natural physicality of an environment where one can still perceive the origins and stratifications.
Country b&b
The farmhouse where the workshop will take place is located in a small village in the Pasolini countryside of Friuli, in a rural environment, far from large urban centres. Friuli is an italian region in the north-east of Italy, close to the Slovenia border.
