Eyebeam
The Eyebeam Residency is a prestigious award for artists engaged with technology and technologists working in the arts. Residents work in shared Eyebeam studios in Brooklyn for one year on experimental, interdisciplinary projects with a goal towards invention and impact. Residents receive a generous financial stipend as well as access to top-notch facilities and a dynamic far-reaching community. Frequent critiques and mentorship by field leaders in the arts, business, and technology sectors round out the experience.
Due to Covid-19, for the first time in Eyebeam’s 20 year history, they are pausing their flagship Residency program. Instead they’re launching a new program, Rapid Response for A Better Digital Future. Grounded in the belief that artists have the most impactful and culture-shaping ideas, this fund is intended to support projects that are most responsive and potentially groundbreaking in building a better digital world.
Large-scale exhibition and multi-day symposium in NYC, a 2-year curatorial fellowship, a new online hub, as well as robust public programming coming out of Eyebeam’s new home in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn.
