Speaking Soil exhibition

Borderland Residences 2023-4 group exhibition in Dusseldorf

April 10, at Sammlung Philara in Düsseldorf will be the opening of the group exhibition Speaking Soil.

The scholarship holders of the Borderland Residencies 2023-24 researched during their field trips the border region between Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Moments of collective artistic research gave rise to work impulses, the results of which they will present in the exhibition Speaking Soil from 10 April to 2 June 2024. The exhibition tells of the significance of soil for planetary life from various perspectives: as a resource, habitat and national territory as well as from the perspective of ownership, resettlement, migration and climate change. The exhibition is curated by Julika Bosch (Artistic Director of Sammlung Philara) and Hannah Niemeier (Curator).

With artists artists Tini Aliman, Wim Bosch, Cristiana Cott Negoescu, David Hahlbrock, Salomé Ingelbrecht, Zhixin Angus Liao, Darcy Neven, Nico Pachali, Silke Schatz, Rosa Vrij, Finn Wagner, Marit Westerhuis.
