Open Call: AiR Goyki 3 Residencies

This program has been run by Goyki 3 Art Incubator since the end of 2020 and is aimed primarily at visual artists and people working with literature.

AiR Goyki 3 creates a place that is conducive to working on projects and meetings with other artists and specialists in given fields. They do not determine the final result; they do not impose the topic of residencies or projects. They support well-thought-out activities, projects based on research, which take into account the place of their implementation, i.e., the city of Sopot and the space of Goyka 3 Art Incubator. It is also important for them to build relationships with people and the environment.

Jury of the AiR Goyki 3 residency program:

• Literature: Marta Perchuć-Burzyńska, Aleksander Hudzik, Marta Czarnecka
• Visual arts: Barbara Piwowarska, Katarzyna Słoboda, Kasia Sobczak.

As part of the residency, Art Incubator provides residents with:

• a studio in the headquarters of the Art Incubator
• building the resident's contacts with the local art scene, organizing meetings and visits to institutions consistent with the profile of the resident's artistic activity
• curatorial care during the artistic residency
• accommodation in Sopot for residents for the period of artistic residency taking place in April – June
• covering the costs of implementing projects of two residents in the amount of PLN 8,000 gross in the case of a residence taking place in September – November

Applications should include:

• Presentation of the project, which will be implemented during the artistic residency in Sopot – description with a volume of up to 500 words, no more than 1 A4 page.
• Portfolio with artist statement containing up to 6 completed projects with a technical description – maximum file size 3MB, mandatory PDF format.
• CV with the most important projects and awards.

The duration of the residence is two months. During this time, residents are obliged to stay and carry out artistic activities in Sopot.
