There is a $30 application fee. Accepted residents deposit $100 when confirming their attendance; the full $100 will be refunded when resident arrives. Residents pay their own travel/transportation and material costs.

Description
Willapa Bay AiR is offering month-long, self-directed residencies, at no cost, to emerging and established writers, artists, singer/songwriters, composers, and scholars. Willapa Bay AiR is situated on 20 acres in coastal southwest Washington State. The Residency has been specifically designed, from the site selection to the architecturally specific building concepts, layouts, and materials, to combine the opportunity for solitude with the opportunity for a daily community that fosters creative endeavour.

Six residents will be provided with lodging in individual cottages, meals, and workspace each month of the residency season extending April 1 through October 31.
Studio Information

Two spacious visual arts studios with high ceilings, concrete floors, diffuse light, water, power, etc.

Accommodation Information

Individual cottages with workspace for literary, musical, or scholarly pursuits.

Technical Information

Artists must bring their own equipment, tools, materials.

Location

Willapa Bay AiR is situated on 16 acres in coastal southwest Washington State, near the National Historic Register village of Oysterville, located at the northern end of the Long Beach Peninsula. The Portland, Oregon airport is a 3 hour drive; the Seattle, WA airport is a 4 hour drive.
