The costs for Ways are on a sliding scale. If you have a salary, receive funding or have financial stability the suggested cost is 130 euro/week/room.
ways also wants to welcome artists without financial support. Please get in touch with the organizers.
Hungarian and Romanian artists are invited for a minimal cost to cover basic amenities.

Queer Feminist Art Residency and Rest Space

Description

ways is an art residency and rest space for queer feminist artists.

Artists* from all genres are invited to come and live in the house for work and rest. Artists are not required to submit project proposals for their time at ways. Time at ways might be great for you if you have a project that needs attention and have difficulty accessing time in your urban life. It is also a place for relative solitude and comfort to recuperate after a project or to begin a new one.

Outcome

No expectations from the artists. Living communally with respect and care is necessary.

Studio Information

Each artist has a desk in their own private bedroom, plus access to other shared desk space and a shared studio for 'wetwork'. There is also a large garden with fruits and vegetables.

Accommodation Information

Artists that come to ways have their own room with a desk as well as access to shared workspaces (both communal desk space and outside areas for larger and/or messier work). There are currently two large bedrooms available.

There is a kitchen with basic cooking supplies, tea and coffee. You have access to a bike and a large garden to spend time in. Performance artists have the opportunity to rent studio space close by (for a small fee). Groups can apply to come to ways too, and families are welcome as long as there is space. Email ways for details.
