
Three Shadows Photography Art Centre
Founded in 2007, The Three Shadows Photography Art Centre is the first art space solely dedicated to photography and video art in China. It aims to become China's most professional and comprehensive platform for the promotion of contemporary photography art. The Centre therefore offers an Artist-in-residence program to provide international photographers, artists, curators, and academics with an opportunity to live and work in China. Artists have access to: fully furnished living quarters; black and white darkroom studio; professional inkjet studio; moving image studio, with necessary equipment for production and post-production of video works and films; customized individual support to help complete independent projects.

A main exhibition hall of 1,300 square meters used for thematic exhibitions, a China's largest Library of contemporary Photography with over 5,000 books, journals and catalogues, a state-of-the-art professional publishing house dedicated to producing collectible, limited edition, and popular photography books, a multi-purpose room for lectures, seminars, and presentations, a gallery, a full-service cafe, and a bookstore.
Three Shadows has four living quarters on the centre grounds. There are two small bedrooms (16 square meters) that share a bathroom and kitchen, and one large bedroom (35 square meters) with private bathroom. Additionally, there is a loft (65 square meters) with private bathroom and living room.

Located in the Caochangdi Art District, a thriving art community of artists, architects, and academics in northeastern Beijing. The centre is 20 minutes from the Capital Airport and 45 minutes from Tiananmen Square.
