Tangent Projects is a curatorial initiative set up to work with artists on site-responsive exhibitions and projects.

With a desire to add multiplicity to the current art archetype, Tangent Projects endeavors to showcase exemplary works in a variety of different media and platforms - including publications, exhibitions, performances, and online commissions.

In offering the opportunity for digressions to be pursued, ideas and processes that might normally have been discarded in favor of the main discourse will have the potential to reach a conclusion. Without a commercial bias and with experimentation encouraged, Tangent Projects invites artists to explore the diversions and deviations within their artistic practice.

In simple terms, the residency gives artists the leeway to "go off on a tangent".

They are accepting applications for the studio residency programme for 2023/24. Residencies are for 3 months and the placements will be between:

• September - December 2023
• January-April 2024
• April - July 2024
