Space Between aims to promote artwork by new emerging artists and those inspired by popular culture.Painters & illustrators; un circulated artists inspired by street culture and those with unique voices and practices are shown in the gallery. Space Between offers an Artist's In Residence program for visiting artists to Cape Town. The program offers the opportunity for artists to work on an exhibition proposal during their stay, liaise and collaborate with other local artists as well as contribute to the careers of emerging artists. The program is open to international and local graduate students, emerging and established artists, designers, creatives and curators. Those with practices rooted in street art and underground visual art’s culture; illustrators; installation artists; 3 Dimensional artists or painters are encouraged to take part in the program. A willingness to collaborate with local participants, artists, organizations as well as press is expected.
