Region Norrbotten's art collection is placed in regional healthcare facilities and administrative offices. The art developer oversees the entire collection, from acquiring new artworks to conserving pieces in storage and managing loans to both internal and external institutions.
Outcome
The outcomes of the residency are: extending the network and being in contact with international art professionals. Work in a new environment with specific features (the northern part of Europe, in the sub-arctic and arctic area). Having the possibility to see one of the works produced during the residency acquired
Accommodation Information
Access to a studio apartment located in central Luleå, Sweden. The apartment is simply furnished with a 120 cm bed, a sofa bed, a small kitchen, and a toilet (the shower and washing machine are in the basement and shared with other residents in the building). You may bring an extra guest to stay at no additional cost, but prior notice to the organizers is required. A bicycle is also available for use.
Studio Information
KKV Luleå is a workshop for professional artists, craftspeople, designers, and other art practitioners. There are 13 workshops available, including facilities for working with metal, enamel, graphic art, photography, textiles, ceramics/raku, and wood.
