A one-to-one mentored residency to learn 3D Ambisonic Sound Recording and Production in the Scottish Rainnforest.

Positive Ambisonics offers a unique opportunity to advance artistic and practise-based research with experimentation and the creation of methods that emphasise the spatial aesthetics of sound through ambisonics.
They invite artists whose work already does or could interact with sound and space.​
Residents are encouraged to focus on the creative process and experience of being immersed in this unique environment and to contribute to an emerging body of shared knowledge which is central to the +VE residency concept. This can be by reflecting on, documenting, and sharing their experience publicly in some way.

Learn all aspects of 3D ambisonic sound recording and production, with trips to beautiful locations to record audio with a special ambisonic microphone. You have 24 hour access to an ambisonic sound studio and your own private accommodation for up to three people. You also have access to a 1.5 acre woodland garden. By capturing a full 360-degree sound field, ambisonics ensure that the listener is fully enveloped in the audio, making it perfect for immersive sound design for virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and 360-degree video projects.
