The host organisation offers free accommodation in the residency centre, a travel grant, and a monthly fellowship to cover living expenses.

Application guidelines:

To apply, candidates are invited to send:

  • a letter of interest outlining their motives for applying for the residency;
  • a description of their literary translation project they will work on during the residency;
  • a CV.

Please send your application to [email protected] with Translation in Motion residency as the subject of your message. The deadline for applications is Friday 20th January 2023.

OKF and the Steering Committee of the Translation in Motion consortium will make the selection, with results announced by February 9, 2023.

Otvoreni Kulturni Forum is offering a month-long residency in Cetinje, Montenegro in 2023 within the Translation in Motion project to two literary translators working from Montenegrin into the languages of the EU countries.

Outcome

During the residency, the translator is expected to work intensively on the literary translation project with which they applied, to participate in events or activities of the host organisation, and to network with colleagues in Montenegro.

Technical Information

The duration of the residence in Cetinje, Montenegro is one month and should be carried out no later than July 2023. Eligible translators can be citizens of any EU country.
