Nowa Szkoła | New School offers individual and group residencies in Kopice, Poland, providing artists, researchers, and creative practitioners with time and space for self-directed projects. Individual residencies (July) last 7–10 days, while group residencies (August–September) run for one week. The programme supports cross-disciplinary experimentation in visual arts, sound, music, performance, dance, land art, design, and socially engaged practice. Residents can focus on creative research, collaboration, or personal artistic exploration. While there are no mandatory outcomes, participants are encouraged to share their work via optional public presentations, such as exhibitions, concerts, workshops, or guided tours. The residency emphasizes engagement with nature, ecology, permaculture, and alternative cultural practices, including small architecture, landscape interventions, instrument-making, and body-based practices. They provide basic infrastructure: shared studio tent, outdoor kitchen, camping facilities, showers, Wi-Fi, a small stage, and spaces for collaboration. Nowa Szkoła | New School, a cultural and artistic project of Fundacja Laguna, and a creative workspace located in a revitalized former school building in Kopice, Poland. The space serves as a venue for artist residencies, workshops, concerts, and gatherings for an international community of creators (artists, musicians, researchers) as well as the local community, offering spaces for both individual and group work. They are building an international community of creators in music, dance, theatre, visual arts, design, and socially engaged projects. They operate as an outdoor cultural institution, organizing workshops, concerts, and artistic events in direct contact with nature. Their broad overarching themes are ecology, biology, permaculture, and independent culture.
