Established in 2010, NIV Art Centre is an independent interdisciplinary cultural organisation based in New Delhi, India. Building upon its ongoing commitment to artistic exchange and contemporary practice, NIV presents the NIV International Artist Residency 2026 — a structured two-week residency programme designed to foster cross-cultural dialogue, creative development, and professional exchange among artists from across Asia.
Hosted in New Delhi, the residency brings together selected artists from Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, and Vietnam for an intensive period of studio practice, critical discussion, and public engagement. The programme provides accommodation, meals, basic art material support, curated local visits to galleries and museums, an artist talk, and a concluding group exhibition featuring all participating residents.
The residency aims to create a focused yet collaborative environment where artists can develop their practice while engaging with India’s contemporary art context. Through shared living, structured programming, and public presentation, the initiative encourages meaningful exchange between international artists and the local creative community.
