Naughty Muse Studios is an international art residency and creative co-working space based in Busan, South Korea.
Naughty Muse Studios is run by international creators living in Busan. It aims to promote diversity in the region, bridge the gap between domestic and foreign artists, and showcase Busan’s unique culture and arts to creators worldwide.
Established with after completing the government’s Oasis-visa project, which fosters innovative ideas and talent among foreign entrepreneurs, Naughty Muse Studios opened in July 2023. Since then, it has been running an international art residency program, organized and hosted numerous events and workshops, including artists networking events that brought together domestic and international artists, group exhibitions featuring artists from different countries and participated in city-run festivals.
The residency program #getinspiredinbusan run by Naughty Muse Studios provides an opportunity for a self-directed creative experience that honors creative integrity. They trust individuals to know what they need in order to cultivate their individual talent, whether it’s to work, to experiment, or to simply rejuvenate. During the residency period we organize visits to exhibitions in Busan and other cities in South Korea, visit local artists's studios and cultural events as well as historical sites. Workshops with local craftsmen, critiques, exhibitions and other activities may be organized upon request.

Accommodation Information
Residents are provided with individual self-contained studio apartments. Located in the iconic Haeundae area, known for its beautiful beach, luxury hotels, and bustling nightlife.
The purpose of this program is to introduce Busan to new and diverse perspectives, enrich community through dialogue, and to create deeper, more meaningful connections with each other through art, but most importantly is to showcase this beautiful place to a wider audience. For this purpose we have intentionally chosen to separate living spaces from the working space, hoping that it will stimulate the artists to walk around, discover hidden gems and fall in love with Busan as they did.
Technical Information
Each resident is provided with their own working area within a shared studio space. A variety of tools and facilities, such as an etching press and silk screen facilities are also included. The number of residents at Naughty Muse Studios is intentionally kept low (4-6 people).
