Mountain Seas
The program offers artists up to ten weeks in stunning scenery, with easy access to rugged wilderness, a well-equipped Arts Centre and a beautiful studio to live at the base of Mont Strzelecki.
Resident is requested to give something back to the Flinders Island community. That could be a half-day workshop, a community art project or some other idea that the artist generates. There is room on the application for suggestions!
The Art Centre can host workshops in various mediums, and accommodate up to 20 people working in different ways in the four areas available. The Art Centre is equipped with two ceramic wheels, a kiln, hand-building tables, as well as space for acrylic painting, watercolors and other visual mediums.
The Studio is a fully furnished self-contained cottage. It contains one large living area with queen bed, kitchenette and separate bathroom. Amenities include: heating, electricity (240V power supply), running water. Internet access and landline phone are available for an additional fee.
