Maison des Écrivains Étrangers et des Traducteurs
The House of the Foreign Writers and Translators of Saint Nazaire (Maison des Écrivains Étrangers et des Traducteurs de Saint-Nazaire : M.E.E.T) welcomes writers and translators from all over the world in France.
M.E.E.T regularly organises conferences, public readings and meetings with writers. It also organizes and awards two literary prizes each year: first, the Laure Bataillon Prize of the best work of fiction published in its French translation during the respective year, and secondly, the Prize of the Young Latin-American Literature, a discovery prize set up in Latin America.
M.E.E.T is also a publisher: every year it brings out several bilingual books and the literary review "meet".
At the end of his/her stay, the resident is given the opportunity to have one of his works and its French translation published in the Meet's collection "Les Bilingues".
