The financing of this program will be made from the budget credits of the Provincial Council of Malaga for the year 2023. The program offers a maximum number of six places for creators, on a lodging and board basis, for two months without the possibility of extension. Each place is also endowed with €1,000 (taxes included) as expenses incurred for the development of each project.

Application guidelines:

The delivery period for participation projects in La Térmica Creadores will be from August 15, 2022, to October 31, 2022.

All registrations must be made through the form established on the La Térmica website on the occasion of the call, and the documentation must be delivered in *.rar or *.zip format.

Description

'Creators' is La Térmica's artistic residency program. A commitment to supporting plastic and visual artists with a two-month scholarship, work-study, accommodation, food and financial support for the development of their projects.

This is an annual call that brings together six artists every year at the Contemporary Culture Center of the Provincial Council of Malaga with the aim of promoting their projects.

A total of 42 artists have been part of this international project since it has been carried out since 2013, with a total of six group exhibitions developed and exhibited at the Center as a result of the artistic work of the artists in residence.

Outcome
  • Communicate in writing, prior to acquiring the beneficiary status, the acceptance of these terms. Failure to do so will be considered as renunciation, and the place will be granted to the substitute person in the first place, and so on.
  • Execute the selected activity within the specified period and conditions outlined in the call.
  • Provide justification for the completion of the entire activity within the established timeframe.
  • Accept and adhere to the monitoring, control, and evaluation actions conducted by the Provincial Council of Malaga to ensure compliance with the call's requirements.
  • Ensure that the workshop is exclusively used for artistic production and refrain from any other unauthorized use.
  • Collaborate with the Center in organizing activities and presenting the project created at La Térmica facilities on the agreed-upon date, integrating it into the Center's programming.
  • Abide by the internal regulations set by La Térmica, including complying with established schedules.
  • Residency at La Térmica is mandatory for artists during the residency development period.
  • Submit a final report of the work to the committee established by La Térmica.
     
  • Each resident artist is required to donate a work at the end of their stay at La Térmica, which will become part of the contemporary art collection of the Malaga Provincial Council.
     
  • Include a statement in all information or advertising acknowledging that the project was made possible by the Provincial Council of Malaga, the UNTREF FOUNDATION, La Térmica, and BIENALSUR.
