Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers Center
The Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers' Centre is the oldest writers centre of its kind in Australia. It encourages and facilitates writers' readings, workshops, writers in residence and other services whilst preserving the heritage value of the former home of leading Australian writer, Katharine Susannah Prichard.
Workspace and accommodation in a heritage-listed house, the former home of Katharine Susannah Prichard, are provided. Alternative writing space in Katharine's cottage is also available.
The KSP Writers Centre provides three individual and self contained retreats set among the trees in the garden for writers. Each retreat can sleep two, has its own ensuite shower and toilet, is equipped with reverse cycle air conditioning, cooking facilities and has access to Internet broadband.
In the hills east of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. 25 minutes from the city but far away from the noise and the stress. The centre is surrounded by gardens and Australian flora in which you can sit and read or work on your writing in peace and serenity. It has a very encouraging and inspiring atmosphere and community.
