Kanaal 10 Guest Studio
Plantage Dok is a building located in the centre of Amsterdam. In 1998 the building was squatted by a small group and by 2000 they had bought the building with government assistance, thus securing its future as a property of the collective. Plantage Dok is run by the people who live and work in the building. Everybody involved is required to share responsibility and is encouraged to take initiatives.
The building is equipped with a large hall (reminiscent of the original church hall, high ceiling and balcony) and a small cafe space. The hall, or more commonly known as Dokzaal, is generally rented by external organisations, however, they do encourage the artist to use the space when it is empty. The adjoining restaurant is also available for exhibitions and performances.
47 m2, TL light/no windows, next to Dokzaal on the ground floor. Shared toilets and shower nearby. Wifi available.
12 m2, good light/nice view, situated on the 3rd floor in the living group. Communal toilet, shower, washing machine. Communal kitchen on the 2nd floor (shared with one other person). Wifi available.
Plantage Dok is located in the north/east center of Amsterdam, close to public transport and other necessities. The building is nestled between Artis ZOO and Wertheim Park.
