Description

The aim of the Programme is to enrich Rijeka's cultural scene. During their stay in Rijeka the creators will both work and participate in Rijeka's cultural life: give lectures in schools, faculties, socialize with local artists, participate in public debates, events, readings, etc.

Creators will be given opportunity to address current issues, and promote art and culture as an important part of social and public life, as well as a creative process that enriches the lives of all of us. The programme will also be an opportunity for various cultural organizers to devise and carry out residency programmes for foreign creators, in other words to introduce and include them into the artistic and cultural life of the city.

The programme's aim is to be a catalyst for creating vivid and active artistic and cultural scene in Rijeka, to continuously re-examine the city's identity and address current issues. It is particularly expected to stimulate the formation of Rijeka's urban identity, strengthen the cultural specificity of the city and connect artistic and cultural life of Rijeka with other European and world centres.

Outcome

Creators staying in Rijeka will have an obligation to introduce themselves and their work to the public (through lecture, workshop, exhibition, etc), and to leave a record of their stay.
