IVYnode provides a platform for artists, performers, directors, writers, art critics, researchers, scientists and many other professionals which are willing to work together in a multi- and interdisciplinary environment, with a focus on culture, art, science, environment and innovation. The aim is to create a transdisciplinary environment based on interconnection, inspiration, desire to share and to learn by involving local communities, organizations, companies, private and public institutions.

IVYnode is based in Barcelona but have strong roots in Sardinia, where it organizes the annual residency programs. It is also involved in educational and cultural activities, art workshops and exhibitions with other partners around the world.

The program aim to create an authentic cultural exchange experience, discovering local traditions and keeping in touch with artisans who still preserve an ancient knowledge of old techniques that are risking to disappear. The artists will have the opportunity to visit places of archaeological interest known from their strong magnetism, exploring the territory and connecting with the nature. The participants can have the opportunity to be in touch with local farmers, shepherd, winegrower, local artisans, in a territory which still maintain contact with the earth and its origins, by preserving its most authentic side.

We welcome artists whom art practice embraces community interaction or collaboration in some way, temporary public art or site specific installation, sustainability or other models of art as social practice. The character of the residency is transdisciplinary and it is open to artists, researchers, writers, curators or everyone who wish to be integrated in an unique place where is still possible to appreciate authentic aspects.
