Hidden Creek Arts Centre
The Residency Program at Hidden Creek, is intended to give artists an opportunity to imagine and create, in an inspirational, contemplative and intimate setting. A boat ride from Nelson, BC, transports you to Hidden Creek Arts centre which was built with the objective of sustainability, energy efficiency and local & natural materials in mind. It is a special place to experience solitude to reconnect and focus on creative pursuits.
The Residency program is open to artists at all stages of their career, providing space and time for artists to strengthen their practice. They provide artists the opportunity to deeply engage in their work while at Hidden Creek. The residency is self-directed and the length depends on the artist's goals and objectives. Artists are not required to produce work to share, however, in the application, they do ask that potential residents outline the goals for the residency, with the expectation that they work toward those goals while at Hidden Creek.
There are no expectations for public interaction. Workshops and artist talks are encouraged, if desired by the artist.
