As the origin of innovation in Hungarian fine arts, they provide a space to reinterpret historical artworks, to receive, create and present new ones, and to participate in interactive art and community events. The organisers believe that art truly belongs to everyone, so they encourage all of the visitors to create, discover and inhabit the living space of contemporary art!

At Hungarian Art & Business (HAB), they represent a unique cultural platform that focuses on Hungarian contemporary art: a truly diverse and vibrant scene full of talented artists who push and reimagine the boundaries of art every day. HAB is also a playful acronym that reflects the hub function of the space. As an innovative cultural centre, they offer a social meeting place that can connect visitors with art and with each other.

HAB (Hungarian Art & Business) / MBH Foundation for the Support of the Arts recidency programme welcomes artists who would like to spend time in a villa in downtown Budapest, making art, getting to know the cultural and artistic scene of the city.

They extend an invitation to artists to participate in their artist residency program, offering a 6 to 8 weeks immersive experience dedicated to their craft. They are committed to provide essential materials and resources, ensuring that artists will have everything they need to create freely and without constraints.
The core duration of this residency program spans from 6 to 8 weeks, during which selected artists will be granted access to a fully equipped workspace tailored to meet the specific needs of their artistic projects. Moreover, artists will have the unique opportunity to become part of a vibrant artistic community, fostering collaboration, and networking with like-minded individuals.

They welcome applicants in four time periods: April-May; June –July; August – September; October-November. Dates are flexible, suggested duration 6 to 8 weeks.
