Application guidelines:

The residency at Jardin Rouge is open to visual artists of any nationality or age who can demonstrate a significant artistic career. The residency workshops are awarded after a study of the applications by the selection committee (made up of the founder, the artistic director and qualified members of the Foundation) on the relevance and quality of the proposed project and its feasibility at Jardin Rouge.

The file must contain all the following documents, in the order indicated:

- Presentation of your artistic project, including a description of the techniques used, a provisional budget and any sketches (max. 800 characters including spaces)
- Significant portfolio from the last 3 years (max. 15 pages with captions)
- Biography (max. 800 characters including spaces) and CV (2 p. max.)

Description

In Marrakesh, the Montresso★ Art Foundation has been committed since 2009 to the establishment and development of an artists' residency: Jardin Rouge.
Open to visitors, by appointment, Jardin Rouge aims to build a factory of links and sharing. Events are organised both inside and outside the Foundation, with a wide range of cultural and artistic institutions, to provide artists with exhibition spaces in which to present their work and to raise their profile in Morocco and abroad. In agreement with the artist, a selection of works produced during the residency is offered for purchase.

Studio Information

The residency program enables selected artists to develop a visual arts project by providing the technical, material and financial resources as well as a workplace.

Accommodation Information

The Montresso★ Art Foundation provides funding for the production of the artistic project approved by the selection committee. It will also cover transport, individual accommodation, meals, all necessary equipment and the provision of an individual workshop on the residency site.
