Fabrica
Fabrica is the Benetton Research and Development Communication Centre. Led by an international team, Fabrica is an applied creativity laboratory, a talent incubator, a studio of sorts in which young, modern artists come from all over the world to develop innovative projects and explore new directions in myriad avenues of communication, from design, music and film to photography, publishing and the Internet.
If your portfolio meets selection criteria, you will be invited to Fabrica for a trial period of two weeks. Accommodation and lunch (during the week) will be provided, but you will arrange to pay for travel expenses.
If the trial period is successful, you will get a one year scholarship. In 6-8 weeks after you return home, you will receive from Fabrica a communication about the result of the trial period.
Fabrica is housed in a stunning building by Japanese architect Tadao Ando and is situated outside Treviso in North Italy.
Fabrica is located in Catena di Villorba, 12 km from Treviso (a medieval town in the north of Italy with a population of around 80,000). There is a public bus service leaving from Treviso to Catena every hour. Treviso is about 20 minutes far from Venice, 45 minutes from the Adriatic coast, 90 minutes from the Dolomites, 3 hours from Milan and 5 hours from Rome.
