Description

LAV is an international artist residency program at Espacio Lavadero, based in Granada (Spain). The objective is to accommodate contemporary artistic creation, serving as support for the current artistic sector of emerging international artists. The residence offers a space for creation and also a place for exhibition and dissemination. Their space provides a comfortable and comfortable place, based on coexistence and community, with independent work areas and an exhibition room for specific events.

Studio Information

The creation studios are located in Espacio Lavadero, where each artist has a work area where they can develop their personal project. The work area has tables and chairs, bathroom, internet access and tools such as easels, screen, projector, printer, etc. It also has a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker.

Accommodation Information

The apartment is dedicated exclusively to the residence of artists. Located in the centre of Granada, and very bright, it is an ideal space for our artists to feel comfortable.

The apartment is designed so that two residents can live together simultaneously, and includes:

Location

The residency program is located in the centre of the city of Granada, a city with a great historical heritage and a culture based on diversity. An ideal place to explore and create, with access to local archives, libraries, museums, theatres and the university. Granada is an ideal setting for creation, being a multicultural, open and accessible city. Its location places us close to neighbourhoods and enclaves full of inspiration, such as El Albaicín, El Realejo, La Alhambra, Sierra Nevada or La Alpujarra.
