Elagza Dağ Evleri [Elagza Chalets] is a boutique hotel at the Eastern Blacksea Coast of Turkey. Elagza Artists' Retreat [E.A.R.] is an artists' residency program that will take place at Elagza Chalets [Elagza Dağ Evleri], every year seven months between October to May.

Elagza Chalets, which is built upon seven acres of land surrounded with tea fields and forest, will support E.A.R. by opening its two duplex appartments, three bungalows and one village house to the disposal of the artists. All living spaces has the area of 50 squaremeters.

Five of these six residency slots are paid by artists and one slot will be provided to artists free of charge by utilizing the open call and invitation methods. Minimum duration to join the program is one mont and maximum is seven months.

Each of these six accomodation options can be utilized for different working practices. Houses will be kept empty and will be furnished in accordance with the artists' need, upon the arrival of the artist.

Artists from wide variety of background and disciplines will be accepted to the program. Elagza Artists' Retreat, as the name offers, will provide a silent and peacefull, yet inspirational working enviroment.

E.A.R. will provide exhibiton space alternatives, either in Rize or various cities for artists willing to launch an exhibition after their work on E.A.R.

Elagza Artists' Retreat will provide logistics support in finding all the materials necessary for the production of the artists, compensation of the fees of these materials belong to the artist.

E.A.R. will take initiative to make possible the meetings between Turkish art scene and artists in residence, for this purpose, artists from Turkey will be invited to the program free of charge.

Elagza Artists' Retreat supports collaborations between artists and researchers from Blacksea region, either on national or international level.

In addition to the six houses, Elagza Chalets will open its kitchen, its salon that can be used as meeting or resting area and its depot that can be used as a sculpture studio to the disposal of artists.
