The Egon Schiele Art Centrum owes its foundation to the private initiative of several individuals who recognized the uniqueness of the situation after the fall of the Iron Curtain. They dedicated themselves to the idea of an international culture centre in one of the most beautiful Renaissance towns in Europe.
