Note: the College is only open during the Easter holidays (15 days, Belgian dates), the Christmas holidays and in the summer months (July+August).

To apply, please request an inscription form from Mrs Françoise Wuilmart and return it, with a CV, a copy of the publishing contract and a proof that the publisher acquired the rights of translation.

Description

The CTLS aims at receiving in residence literary translators from all over the world, organising meetings between translators and their authors, organising presentations of Belgian authors, readings and performances of Belgian theater scriptwriters.

For the residency, priority is given to foreign translators of French-speaking Belgian authors. However, the College hosts also other language combinations, given that French is the source or the target language.

Accommodation Information

The Seneffe college has 17 private rooms (with private bathroom), a large library (accessible day and night) with numerous books by French-speaking Belgian authors, dictionnaries and manuals, a TV room, a large seminar room and a dining room.

Technical Information

8 computers and 2 laptops, w-lan in the whole building, 3 printers and 1 scanner are available for the residents.

Location

The Collège is located in the old (but fully rennovated) outbuildings of the Seneffe castle. A parc of 22 hectares is also accessible to the residents.
