Description

DAC is a non-profit organization with 12 years of experience dedicated to international art and cultural exchange. Since the launch of the Residency in 2014, DAC has accepted a total of about 180 domestic and foreign artists to conduct residency in Chongqing, including more than 100 international artists, musicians, curators and so on.
Dimensions Art Center (DAC) , Milgotas and Jiezishan Art Center jointly launch the Chongqing Art Residency program, open for applications from artists, writers, video creators, and others worldwide. The residency duration can range from half a month to several months. We will provide artists with comfortable living quarters, creative workspaces, opportunities for cultural exchange, and platforms for showcasing their work.
They aim to build a platform for artistic dialogue connecting China and the world, promote cross-cultural creation with Chongqing’s distinctive characteristics and deep in-situ experience, and facilitate interaction between international creators and Chongqing’s urban landscape, natural ecology, and community culture.

Outcome

DAC offers all resident artists the possibility of exhibition, presentation, lecture, workshop, etc. and invites resident artists the participation possibility of social projects, educational projects and art festivals. Resident artists are kindly invited to hold at least one public activity during their residency period.

Accommodation Information

A 30-square-meter, 24-hour service and a studio with a living room that is equipped with daily facilities as air conditioning and wardrobes. Use of public living facilities such as public kitchens, laundry rooms, shower rooms, etc.

Studio Information

· Use of photography, wood, cloth, ceramics and sculpture studio facilities with professional support;
· The use of professional exhibition halls and exchange meeting rooms and related equipment;
· Services such as resident results exhibition planning, academic supporting.
