Cal Gras is a house in a rural setting, open for research and cultural and artistic production, supporting creation.
Cal Gras is a cultural center for artistic production, which also works as a rural lodge, therefore, is open to everybody that wants to enjoy peace and harmony in a creative environment.
Their goal is to be a node and a meeting point for artists and, at the same time, professionalsofdifferent areas of the cultural industry. The non-profit association behind Cal Gras organizes a wide range of activities that can complement your stay and help you to get in contact with the socia, cultural and natural environment.
Accommodation Information
The house can host 18 people distributed in single, double, triple and quadruple rooms. As common spaces you will find a kitchen,na dinning room, a living room, bathrooms and a laundry room.
Studio Information
There are two 45 sqm studios. One is equipped for drawing and painting and the other one is meant for big scale pieces of sculpture, metal work or installations.
Technical Information
Cal Gras has two spacious studios, a meeting room of 45 sqm, a 60 sqm library and a 60 sqm multipurpose room.
In order to help artist get their materials, the organizers put them in contact with local providers.
Location
Avinyó is a town located to the north of Bages (Barcelone), in the valley of Gavarresa, a region near the Llusanes. Forrest of oak and pine surround the area. Cereal plantations, pig farms and vineyards are an important part of the landscape.
