Belgrade AIR
Belgrade AiR welcomes all artistic disciplines and there is no application fee. They are an artist-run and self-supported artist in residence and they don’t have any grants for now. The artist is paying all fees for the program and for their living expenses. They encourage artists to apply for a grant, to cover their stay more easily. They can send you an invitation letter for that purpose.
The fee goes towards running the costs of the property, utilities (Wi-Fi, water, electricity, cleaning supplies, etc…), upkeep of the facilities, and administrative tasks. The fee also includes accommodation and logistics. The accommodation is in an apartment close to the city center. The apartment is fully equipped and has heating, air conditioning, towels, bedsheets, hairdryer, washing machine, kitchen utensils etc. Also there is a possibility to use the gallery space as a studio depending on the activities and also to make a presentation of your work, either as an open studio day or presentation or short exhibition.
The residency is self-directed and the organisers are there to support you. Every artist has different ideas and different types of work, so it is best to know what exactly are your expectations of the residency so they can prepare and see if they can meet your needs. Let them know if you have any special needs for your project.
They have small artist run gallery and events space in center, and they can organize event to present your works and/or workshop, exhibition.
Studio is in the center of the city. It consists of separate room equipped for work, and it also can be used for meetings and workshops, and art presentations. Sharing studio can provide collaborations with other artists and different artistic disciplines.
