Beast Artist in Residence
Beast is an artist-driven venue for contemplation, development and exchange between national and international artists and the local community. They are located on the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea close to Sweden. They organize exhibitions and workshops, artist talks and events and run an artist-in-residence programme. They offer workspaces and showroom for local and international artists.
The aim of the residency is to encourage artists to come to Bornholm, get inspired by the unique nature and island life and get the possibility to focus on current projects or develop new ones. Beast hosts artists in residence from all over the world from November - June.
They welcome artists working in all fields, but especially encourage artists working in the field of photography to apply. People from all over the world are encouraged to apply.
There are no special requirements to work on a particular theme during the residency. It is possible to apply for a stay as a single person or as an artist collective up to three persons (only two separate bedrooms though). Kids are welcome.
