Description

Baltimore Clayworks is a non-profit ceramic art center that exists to develop, sustain, and promote an artist-centered community that provides outstanding artistic, educational, and collaborative programs in ceramic arts. Ceramic artists and their work are central to the mission and operations of the residency. Clayworks exists to promote and advance their artists – they in turn advance the organization. It is with artists’ passion and involvement in creating work and in connecting with each other and the public that they realize their mission. Residencies at Baltimore Clayworks range from one to five years. Selection of residents is highly competitive and based on the excellence of the work, the potential for growth, and a commitment to building a clay-oriented community. Each year a number of fellowships are available to provide studio space, stipends and additional opportunities for artists.
