Avatar is part of the Méduse arts collective at Québec City. Avatar is an association dedicated to research, creation and the broadcast of audio and electronic art. To this end, Avatar offers artists, both professional and those just starting out, the equipment and the skills necessary in order to support their practices. As a self-managed centre for audio artists, Avatar is also a non-profit organization. While operating its studios and carrying out its creation and training program, Avatar also operates its own publishing house. The OHM éditions label groups together productions and co-productions realized by Avatar and disseminated through VacuOhm, its distribution network.
