Paid by host:

Wireless internet connection in the both studio and electricity.
As the relationship between the resident and the host is an important aspect of a residency program the hosts organise a welcome dinner, an excursion to Sremski Karlovci and Fruska gora as well as excursions to museums, libraries and galleries in Novi Sad.

Paid by artist:

2 weeks: € 200, one month: € 400 for one person. The duration of your residency will generally be between 2-4 weeks. For a couple this is 125 € per week. Non-artist guests accompanying residents are welcome, but will pay a higher rate. To confirm your reservation you pay a deposit of 100 €. Your deposit will be subtracted from your bill at the end of your stay. Expenses such as studio fee, living costs, travel, materials, insurance and transport must be covered by the artist. A letter of invitation will be provided by ArtBox if required for travel grants or visa application.

Application guidelines:

The electronically application must consist of the application form, a project proposal for the residency period (2022), updated CV and documentation of work. Current work is requested. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

ArtBox

ArtBox

Description

Artist-run-spaces, ARTBOX, welcomes artists, curators, academicians with a wide range of backgrounds and diverse practices. ArtBox provides a time of reflection, research, presentation and/or production. It also allows an individual to explore his/her practice within Serbian community; meeting new people, experiencing life in a new location. The ArtBox aim is to strengthen, promote and develop a collaboration between contemporary artists in Novi Sad, Vojvodina and foreign artists. The concept of the ArtBox project is to stimulate creativity through cooperation with local environment, artists and cultural institutions. As host of ArtBox live in the Centre, as well, they work to ensure that guest artist have all daily guidance and support they needed.

Outcome

Participants engage in public conversations and are encouraged to cultivate a dialogue with local artists and art professionals. The artists are expected to have a public presentation during their stay with ArtBox, in a format of their choosing.

Studio Information
  • Studio one: 37m2 apartment at city centre of Novi Sad.
  • Studio two: 40 m2 studio together with living space. Big windows. Peaceful. Nature environment.
Accommodation Information

Quiet residential area (apartment) in Novi Sad or in the studio at the modern house with big garden, common veranda, kitchen, a bathroom (on the ground floor) and living/working studio on the first floor.

Technical Information

There is no equipment in the studios, except a laptop computer.
