Art Omi, a not-for-profit organization, provides residency programs for visual artists, writers, musicians dancers, and architects, and offers Art Omi Sculpture & Architecture Park, a year-round public outdoor exhibition space for contemporary sculpture and architecture. Art Omi has five distinct residency programs. Through a competitive jury process, residents are chosen, invited to attend at no cost to themselves, except travel. Abundant, catered meals and comfortable lodgings are provided in a scenic location in Columbia County, New York:
- Art Omi: Artists invites thirty artists from around the world every June - July for a four week residency.
- Art Omi: Architecture invites ten early- to mid-career architects from around the world to develop their work during a two-week residency in March.
- Art Omi: Writers sponsors forty writers and translators from around the world for up to two months each year.
- Art Omi: Music brings together twelve to fifteen musician-composers from around the world in August for three weeks.
- Art Omi: Dance brings together ten dancers from around the world for three weeks in late August.

Art Omi welcomes artists from all over the world who have been professionally active for at least the past 3 years in the disciplines of Visual arts, sound art, performance, and social practice as well as architecture and writing.
The facilities–set on three hundred acres of rural farmland–comprise a large two-story barn with ample space for indoor studios, as well as several large, covered sheds suitable for sculpture. Two-person-room housing is made available on the grounds in three different houses five minutes walking from the studio area.
Work spaces include: indoor and protected outdoor studio spaces, basic hand tools, preliminary welding equipment and two light-tight studios for projection work. The entire center is WiFi equipped. There are three computers with internet access and black & white printers. Studio technicians are available for assistance. Daily trips to suppliers are also provided. Professional color photography labs are located in nearby Albany. Bikes are available for residents to explore the surrounding area.
A Federal Period farm house serves as a gathering center, providing a full kitchen, television room and library; while the front porch overlooks rolling hills and the majestic outline of the Catskill Range. A swimming pool, bicycles, and WiFi are available on the premises. All meals are provided throughout duration of the residencies.
Art Omi is located two and a half hours north of New York City in the historic Hudson River Valley. Named for a neighboring village, Art Omi is close to the small town of Ghent, New York, as well as Albany and Hudson, which offer train connections only thirty minutes away (Art Omi is two hours north of New York City by train).
