Art><Junction is an independent artist residency based in the rural village of Badanga, near Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. Founded as a space for cultural exchange, creative exploration, and cross-disciplinary dialogue, the residency invites artists from around the world to live, work, and connect in a peaceful natural setting.

Their mission is to support emerging and established artists by offering time, space, and community to develop new ideas, experiment with their practice, and engage with local culture. They welcome artists working in all disciplines—visual art, music, performance, writing, sound, and beyond—who seek a thoughtful, open environment for creative growth.

Art><Junction encourages collaboration, reflection, and connection with the land, people, and fellow residents. They host short- and long-term residencies, and also support community workshops, presentations, and open studios for those who wish to share their process.
Applications are accepted on ongoing basis, artists will be selected subject to motivation, work sample and availability.

Residencies are available year-round and range from 2 to 8 weeks. They provide eco-cottage accommodation, studio or open-air workspaces, two vegetarian meals daily, and opportunities for community engagement, collaboration, and cultural exchange.

The programme is self-directed, with no set outcome required for stays under 4 weeks. Longer residencies may include artist talks, workshops, or open studios. They goal is to create a space where artists can explore, reflect, and connect with both nature and new perspectives.
