Each selected project will be provided with:
– Artistic support and production infrastructure
– Public presentation and/or work-in-progress format
– Travel and accommodation
– Daily subsistence support (amount may vary depending on the host institution)
– Artist fee of €1.000 per artist for participation in the residency
– Additional artist fee of €750 per artist for public presentations at the end of the residency
– Additional artist fee of €750 per artist for the final performance at the 25AV Festival at KANAL–Centre Pompidou (April 2027)
– A mentorship programme offering guidance on both artistic practice and career development

Description

25AV is a pan-European platform for audiovisual and performing arts, initiated by five community web radios: Kiosk Radio (Brussels), Radio Raheem (Milan), Radio 80000 (Munich), Stegi Radio (Athens), and Infame Radio (Brno).

Together, they connect artists and audiences through residencies, live showcases, radio shows, and podcasts. With their open call, they invite collaborative projects from across Europe to explore new audiovisual practices and experimental approaches across performance, visual art, music, new media, literature and beyond.

The residency programme offers time, space, and resources for artistic experimentation at our partner institutions in Brussels, Milan, Munich, Brno, and Athens. It will culminate in April 2027 at the 25AV Festival at KANAL–Centre Pompidou (Brussels), where the works developed across Europe will be brought together on one stage.

25AV invites artistic collaboration projects and collectives from across Europe(+) to apply for the 25AV Residency Programme, a pan-European platform for collaborative artistic production in the fields of media art, sound, performance, and audiovisual experimentation.
Funded by the Creative Europe Programme 25AV fosters dialogue and exchange among emerging and early-career artists through a network of residencies in five European cities.
We are particularly interested in collaborative formats that challenge conventional performative and audiovisual practices, encouraging experimental and conceptually open approaches across disciplines such as Performance, Visual Art, New Media, Music & Literature.
The 25AV Residencies offer time, space, and resources for participating artists to work collectively and develop new interdisciplinary and/or audiovisual projects. Each residency culminates in a public presentation, requiring the work to take a form suitable for staging or live performance.
The residencies will take place throughout 2026 and 2027 at Onassis Stegi (Athens, GR), Vitamin (Brno, CZ), iMAL (Brussels, BE), Triennale Milano (Milan, IT) & Lothringer 13 Halle (Munich, DE).
The duration of each residency varies between 7 and 14 days, depending on the host institution.
The newly developed works will be showcased again together at the 25AV Festival in April 2027, held in collaboration with Kanal–Centre Pompidou (Brussels, BE).
