Application guidelines 

The account of your previous work is very important, as is what you intend to do during your residency at Annaghmakerrig. The centre will be of most use to those with a definite plan in mind. There is no age limit.

Description 

As well as offering residencies to established professional artists from both parts of Ireland and abroad in all main artistic disciplines, the Centre also organises a Regional Bursary Scheme for younger, emerging artists in co-operation with 27 local authorities throughout Ireland. The Centre is surrounded by 450 acres of forest and lake which give it a seclusion and tranquility idyllically suited to its new role as a worklpace for artists.

Location 

The Centre's big house is surrounded by 450 acres of forest and lake. It is only 12 kilometers from the Irish border, in County Monaghan, a part of the ancient province of Ulster which is actually in the Republic of Ireland.
