NOVOPO is a artist-run project that deals with nature as a source and inspiration of artistic work. Focus of this project is the artistic and art-theoretical analysis of our present understanding of nature in modern urban life between the poles of (supposedly) rural idyll.

Besides the realization of exhibitions the aim of the project NOVOPO is to give space and time for nature experiences as inspiration for artistic work: Artists are invited to work in Weitenhagen / OT Koitenhagen for a limited periode of time to realize their ideas.

Also Musicians, dancers, writers are welcome. Interdisciplinary work can result in interesting synergy effects. The project and the location are regarded as an open space, as experimental field of artistic methods, statements and analysis. The project oscillates at the interface between visual arts and art theory.
