Insidezone is a short-term residency organized every year in the town of Borsec, Romania. It is open for artists and writers worldwide to come and work individually or as a group on a project related to the area or from their own inspiration. Borsec town, the Carpathian mountains and province of Transylvania have a long history and cultural background that still continues to inspire new generation of artists. The purpose of the short-term residency is to be a bridge between the past, the local tradition and the new culture and art of 21st century. Additionally, The International Poetry and Arts Festival Inside Zone takes place in May. If they wish, the participating artists of residency may also join the festival with their readings, performances, exhibitions etc. especially if their work is related to Borsec.
