The residency organizers will be offering assistance, advice and attending basic technical demands at specific points during the residency and in preparation for the open studios. GlogauAIR will also provide access to all the equipment and tools available in the residence, to use for one week, extendible if no other artist demands it:

In GlogauAIR artists from diverse social and geographical backgrounds find a place to develop their works in a dynamic environment of coexistence, exchange of ideas and internationalization. At the same time they get to know a new culture and landscape in Berlin, getting influences from de city, which has became a pioneer place for contemporary culture.
The non profit organization GlogauAIR was founded by the Spanish artist Chema Alvargonzález in 2006 with the intention to create a meeting point between artists from all disciplines to work in collaboration, expanding their practice in terms of materials, formats and style. Parallel to the residency program and the open studios GlogauAIR organizes activities and exchange projects in collaboration with other institutions such as video art, sound art or performance festivals, exhibitions or artist presentations, where they invite local public, art lovers and professionals.
Every three months doors are open to the public in the form of Open Studios exhibition, where the artists show their work in a site-specific and process based format. For the occasion GlogauAIR edits a small catalogue with texts and photos by the artists. Besides the Open Studios exhibition, GlogauAIR invites curators and other cultural initiatives to exhibit their works in its project space on the ground floor of the building.
Each floor has shared kitchen, shower, WC and WIFI, basic expenses (maintenance, gas, electricity, and internet) are included. The kitchens are fully equipped and the studios have a double sofa bed with bed linen, table, chairs, desk lamp/bed lamp, wardrobe and shelves. They can provide extra furniture if available or, if you have visitors, an extra mattress and bedding. There is also garden and backyard for common use.
There are 13 live/work studios distributed over 3 floors. Each floor has shared kitchen, shower, WC and WIFI, basic expenses (maintenance, gas, electricity, and internet) are included. The kitchens are fully equipped and the studios have a double sofa bed with bed linen, table, chairs, desk lamp / bed lamp, wardrobe and shelves.
GlogauAIR is based in the active area of Kreuzberg and close to big green areas such as the Landwehrkanal riverside and the Gorlitzerpark. The building was designed in 1896 by the architect Ludwig Hoffman to be a Primary School. Its organic and practical distribution gives a comfortable, bright and familiar atmosphere to the 10 studios distributed in two floors.
