A place of residency for foreign artists in Geneva, the Embassy of Foreign Artists is a project resulting from a collaboration of the Laps Association and the Republic and State of Geneva. The project was designed to provide Geneva’s artistic scene with a structure that can accommodate international creators, both established and emerging. The residency focuses on artists working on political, social, global and economic issues.
The project is housed in the Maison Baron, provided by the Canton and Republic of Geneva. The purpose of Maison Baron is to facilitate artistic exchange with the outside world, internationally as well as with other language regions of Switzerland. A place to live, work and meet, Maison Baron plays host to all stages of the creative process, from its first reflections to its final form. The Embassy of Foreign Artists offers residencies for periods of 3 or 6 months and can host four residencies at a time.
Private accommodation.
Different private studio spaces are available and allocated in relation with the practice and project of the resident.
