Ferme-Asile is welcoming Swiss and foreign artists working in the area of the Fine Arts for a stay of a maximum of 6 months. At the end of the term of residence, an artistic event will be held: an exhibition, performance, projection evening, the putting-up of an in situ work of art etc. This event is closely tied to each artist's experience of living in the residence. The Ferme-Asile announces the official opening of 3 artistic residencies:
- It will welcome for 2 months, from February 1st until March 31st, 2018, an artist working in a professional way in the field of the visual arts.
- It will welcome for 3 months from June 1st until August 31st, 2018 an artist working in a professional way in the field of the visual arts and accustomed to create in the outside public space.
- It will welcome for 2 months, from November 1st until December 31st, 2018, an artist working in a professional way in the field of the visual arts.
A 45m2 apartment and a 36m2 workshop will be freely provided for each artist. The Swiss Canton of Valais (DECS) is offering each artist a scholarship of 1,500.00 CHF per month.
To participate in the competition, an application package must be compiled with the following documents:
- A portfolio of recent artistic work
- A statement of interest
- A comprehensive curriculum vitae
