NYX hotel, Warsaw - Artist-in-residence

NYX Hotel Warsaw is a unique space where you can find works by some of the most renowned Polish contemporary artists. It is a space where works of art can not only be presented but also created. They would like to invite artists to participate in the NYX Hotel – Art Lives Here competition with the prize consisting of a three-week artistic residency at their hotel located in the heart of Warsaw.

Residents will have a studio at their disposal and will receive support from the jury and ambassadors of the competition. The programme will culminate with a presentation of the works created by the participants. One of the works, chosen in an online poll, will be purchased by the hotel and displayed next to works by such artists as Anna Barlik, Norbert Delman, NeSpoon, Mariusz Tarkawian, Aleksandra Waliszewska or Mariusz Waras.

If you are an artist coming from Poland and its neighboring countries or the Baltic region, and in your practice you employ media such as painting, drawing, sculpture or photography, you are encouraged to take part in the competition!

The competition organizer provides:

• reimbursement of travel costs
• accommodation in NYX Hotel Warsaw
• breakfast and lunch in the hotel
• access to the studio is arranged in a separate hotel room

The deadline to apply is 3rd July 2022. Follow these 3 steps to participate:

• Download and sign the STATEMENT
• Send the STATEMENT along with documentation of 3 images of your artworks to [email protected]

Their team will review all submitted applications and four participants for the residency will be selected: three of them will be chosen by the competition jury and the fourth person will be selected by voters participating in the poll on the hotel’s social media channels.
