Sam Rit Residency

Sam Rit Residency

Sam Rit Residency is working as new model of cultural residency in rural North Eastern Thailand open to creative artists of all mediums, arts managers and arts workers, academics, researchers and students. With options for short and long stays as well as partners and children, Sam Rit Residency program provides an opportunity for those with a creative and cultural interest to experience an authentic rural Thai farming village in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima. Completely self-contained with a support system in place, this is an opportunity to be immersed in traditional Thai culture and connect with a community for inspiration, contemplation and creation in your field.

Sam Rit Residency does not require a set outcome of work from the duration of residency. They only wish to encourage residents to experience village life and make a conscious effort to engage with locals through ceremonies, events and daily life interactions.  Residents wishing to have a public outcome of their research or work from their stay are welcome to arrange an event or exhibition with assistance of the program director and coordinator.
