Their mission is to foster new forms of cross-fertilization among contemporary creative communities around the Pacific.

New Pacific Studio–California (NPS-CA) offers working residencies for artists, writers, scholars and environmentalists at its tranquil historic cottage and spacious garden studio in Vallejo, in the northern San Francisco Bay Area.

Residencies (one or two persons max.) are available annually from 2013 for periods from 1 week to three months between April-July and October-December. Internships are also available.

Accommodation Information

The second floor in the house is available to visiting artists and provides two rooms, a small balcony and a private bathroom. Internet. The former coach house in the rear garden is ideal for painting, writing or composing

Location

From the South; take 80 East to Vallejo. About 4 minutes after crossing the Carquinez bridge, take the second Redwood Street exit (West), bearing right and right, following Redwood down towards the coast. Turn left at the third set of lights (second set is at Tuolumne) inot North CaminoAlto. Loop up and down NC. Alto (stpo sign at Valle Vista) and take the third right (second is Washington) into Nevada. NPS Vallejo hermitage is a charming white turn-of-the century farmhouse about nine houses down the hill on the left, behind a white picket fence.
