Jed Voras Gallery
From 1 to 12 months, Jed Voras' residency welcomes in Paris many projects conducted by new artists from all over the world with a contemporary background.
Jed Voras is an organisation that integrates creation from workshop to promotion, exhibitions and sales. Jed Voras' residency offers an exceptional platform for networking with a wide circle of artists and art professionnals. Different support services are proposed to artists depending on their needs: a simple work station conceived for creative activity in a shared space, showcasing in events or even a long-term exhibition inside Jed Voras' gallery or outdoors. The residency can add services on demand for moving in France: seek accomodation or provide advice for administrative formalities for your depart.
The residency provides an individual work experience in a shared space to French and foreign artists with international perspectives. It welcomes highly ambitious artistic projects anchored in the most contemporary creations. A residency in the 13th arrondissement of Paris allows artists to network with local, national and European artistic scenes or with private and public collector funds. There is no obligation of production but Jed Voras' values projects expecting distribution support and storage facilities in the gallery in order to introduce works of art to collectors, partners and auction houses. In either case, the artists can benefit from a dedicated structure to place their creations in the French and Parisian contemporary art circuits.
Residencies can lead to a presentation: showings, performances, publications or group/solo shows.
Jed Voras' residency is located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. It is a modern district close to the French National Library and the Bercy area. The district has known a steady artistic development since the 1980s thanks to new and old galleries dedicated to contemporary arts. Jed Voras' residency is a beautiful and bright 150m² space perfect for artist gatherings and events. Split into 5 distinct offices, the space also contains a carpentry workshop. It is accessible 24/7 so that people can come around and work when they want to. Jed Voras' residency puts at artists' disposal: a lounge, a kitchen, a HD video projector, a mail service, and of course a wi-fi internet access.
Accommodation is not on site, but they can help to find an accommodation beside the space. For other needs, contact them directly.
